Don’t take your eye health for granted. Checking the current health of your eyes is important both for determining the true state of your vision and as a way of safe-guarding your future health.

Middle age is often the time you begin to notice changes to your vision, particularly if you haven’t needed to wear glasses or contact lenses before.

Middle-age is also when the risk of certain eye diseases increases substantially and often there are no symptoms in the early stages e.g. glaucoma. Regular Eye Exams can detect eye disease before significant damage to vision occurs.

Regular eye examinations for adults are highly recommended at least every two years and annually after age 60.

Not only can we detect potentially blinding but treatable eye diseases, we may also uncover warnings or the presence of disease elsewhere in the body,  for example diabetes, high blood pressure and rarely, tumours or other brain abnormalities.

Because our focus is on the life-long eye care of the whole family, we encourage you to routinely have eye examinations.

They are one of the best investments you can make in your future health and well-being.
